'The Weather' by Little Tich with orchestral accompianament.
Pathe 5472 Matrix 92813
Eleven and a half inch disk.
2:51 Song & Patter.
Recorded July 1913.
Written by T.W.Thurban & J.L.St.John.
This song is similar to 'Whether the weather' the famous poem (anon) and it must have been well known as I can remember my grandma singing it!
The publisher's stamp is 'Thurba Half Penny Copyright, London'.
I can't find any release information on this at the moment but Pathe disks were made in France and Belgium, (hilariously this disk is punched France on one side and Belgium on the other!) they're half an inch smaller than normal disks and the groove runs from the centre to the edge. They have to be played with a special sapphire diaphragm.
